Biographie :
Pantera est formé en 1983, ils sortent cette même année leur premier album indépendant intitulé Metal Magic qui se vend mal… Les années suivantes, Pantera sortira deux albums indépendants, Projects in the Jungle et I am the Night qui ne connaîtra pas non plus beaucoup de succès.
En 1986, Terence Lee quitte le groupe et est remplacé pendant quelques années par Philip Anselmo. Ils enregistrent leur plus grand succès indépendant (plus de 30 000 albums vendus), Power Métal.
En 1990, sort Cowboys from Hell, l'album marque le début d'une nouvelle direction en mélangeant énergie crue et composition de chansons raffinées, ce qui définira leur style, le « Power Groove ». Cowboys From Hell connaît un succès mondial. L'année suivante, le groupe joue au Monsters Of Rock à Moscou…
Leurs albums, associé à leurs incroyables concerts, permettra à Pantera de conquérir un large public dans le monde…Le groupe aura vendu 13 millions d'albums à travers le monde avec 5 albums et 3 vidéos certifiés partinium.
Pantera se séparera en 2003 et le 8 décembre 2004, Dimebag Darrell meurt assassiné sur scène pendant un concert de Damageplan donné à Columbus (Ohio). Son assassin tire sur lui et les membres du groupe (dont Vinnie Paul) en prétextant, selon certaines sources, que Dimebag était à l'origine de la séparation de Pantera et avait ainsi ruiné sa vie...

Heureusement que je suis là pour corrigé ça
Pour ma part j’ai vraiment aimé les années 90 de Pantera même si pour être honnête, leur carrière s’essoufflait depuis quelque temps
Et pour être Sadique je dirais qu’ils sont bien fait d’arrêté le groupe au bon moment ^^
Sinon que dire a part que c’est un groupe tout simplement mythique…
Et aussi j’aimerais faire un Hommage pour
Mr Dimebag Darrell
C’était vraiment un très grands guitariste...
